I provide a variety of healthy meals, all home made with no added salt or sugar where ever possible. I use a 3 week menu that I change seasonally using recipes I have collected over the years working with children. Most of mine are traditional family meals from around the world and I encourage parents to share their own recipes so I can add them too.
I provide a lunch and a dinner for the children then either side of meal times the children have access to healthy snacks such as nuts and seeds, rye crackers, hummus or fruit for example which is served on an open snack bar for self service with younger children being offered snacks and water at 10:30am and 2:30pm. The snack bar also has a water jug for older children to help themselves and younger children will have labeled water bottles. The children can also ask for milk at any time but we do not offer any fruit juice or squashes.
I am happy to support children with specific dietary needs, be them preference, allergy or for religious reasons for example. I will always provide a suitable alternative where I can.
