My name is Katie Bodenham and I would like to welcome you to SnuggleBugs Childcare. I am a childminder with extensive childcare experience. I decided to leave my career as a Nanny and work to build a warm homely environment where I can offer childcare from my home in Blackheath, just a short walk from the station.

Katie Bodenham

Hey I’m Katie, 35 years old and I live at Dacre Park with my three cats, Archer, Charlie and Lola (yes like the cartoon!). We also have a guinea pig and a gerbil for the children. I’ve always lived in south-east London but by far, Blackheath is my favourite place to be with its village charm and lovely community.

As a teenager I knew I would work in a caring profession. After studying Health and Social Care I decided childcare was the one for me so went on the gain an NVQ2, followed by NVQ3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development. Over the past ten years I’ve worked within nurseries, primary schools then as a private Nanny for local families within Blackheath and Hither Green.

Having worked as a nanny with many families, I've seen what an emotional roller-coaster it can be finding the right person to look after your little ones. I am honoured every time families trust me with the most precious people in their lives, their children. I value that time and use my understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage to help them develop and grow into happy confident little people, in a safe and caring environment.

Lucie Bodenham

Hi there, I’m Lucie, I’m 33 years old and I live in Eltham with my Partner Edwin. Katie is my sister and we are pretty much best friends too. I enjoy weekends away and hobby crafts in my spare time as well as spending time with the people close to me.

After working as a cashier in Sainsburys I decided I needed more job satisfaction and a new to challenge. I have been working part time as a childcare assistant with Katie while I study for a childcare qualification of my own. I have enjoyed every moment and have learnt so much from working at SnuggleBugs. Being able to encourage and support the children while they play has been a very fulfilling experience and I look forward to a long and happy career.
